S. Jacobs studied Carleman’s type isoperimetric inequality on multiply connected domains on plane. He proved that the isoperimetric quotient in this case is strictly bigger than that of a standard disk. Further, a maximizer of the isoperimetric quotient is achievable via certain analytic functions on  complex plane.  I will report on his proof and discuss the maximizer in the case of a doubly connected domain.
