Generalized geometry and pluriclosed flow

Abstract:

I will introduce some concepts in Hermitian geometry which will allow us to define a parabolic flow of pluriclosed metrics generalizing the Kahler-Ricci flow. We will also discuss holomorphic Courant Algebroids and the way that generalized complex geometry elucidates the long-time existence and stability structure of pluriclosed flow. Ultimately, we will show solvability of the Cauchy problem on Bismut-flat manifolds and on surfaces of non-negative Kodaira dimension and convergence in the case of Bismut-flat manifolds.
