Quantum Simulations of Gauge Theories

Abstract:
State preparation is a costly endevour in Quantum computing. We discuss a new method proposed to simulate quantum field theories on a quantum computer. This involves using a schwinger keldysh contour in the path integral. By using a partial deformation of the path integral through imaginary time we can use classical Monte Carlo methods to help speed up the state preparation for quantum simulations. In the case we discuss measuring spectra in $2+1-D$ Ising model which is equivalent to a $2+1-dz_2$ gauge theory
