In a series of talks, we construct Pseudo-Eisenstein series and genuine Eisenstein series on SL(2). Unfortunately, Eisenstein series does not belong to square integrable space. To resolve this problem, we introduce Arthur's truncation operators and compute the Hermitian inner product of two truncated Eisenstein series. This is what is called Mass-Selberg relation. As an application, we examine the analytic property of the residue of Eisenstein series in (1/2,1].
