RTG Colloquium

Speaker:
Andrew Manion (USC Dornsife)
Topic:
The origins of Heegaard Floer homology, and a modern direction

Abstract:

I will summarize the context and history leading up to Ozsvath-Szabo's definition of Heegaard Floer homology in the early 2000s, and then discuss a modern direction of research on extended structure in Heegaard Floer homology and how recent work on higher tensor products with Raphael Rouquier fits into the picture.
