This year's annual STEM Celebration of the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place Friday, February 25th.  Our special guest this year will be Tracy Jon Sargeant of the Multicultural Development Center of Iowa, which is:  

"a non-profit organization with a mission to serve the community by providing access to education and economic support to promote a multicultural society where diversity is recognized as a strength and the underrepresented have the support of a community that encourages knowledge, respect, equity, and inclusivity."  mdciowa.org

The presentation and discussion will be 4:30-5:30 in 3630 SC (Seaman's Center), preceded by refreshments at 4:00 outside of the room.  This event is sponsored by the Department of Mathematics, the Sloan Center at Iowa, and the College of Engineering.  We would be honored if you can join us.
