Third annual Rockwell Lecture

The University of Iowa Department of Mathematics will present the third annual Rockwell Lecture, delivered by Suncica Canic, Cullen Distinguished Professor in the University of Houston Department of Mathematics, at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Lecture Room 1 of Van Allen Hall on the UI campus.

Canic’s lecture, titled “What do cardiovascular stents, the World Trade Center, and carbon nano-tubes have in common?,” is free and open to the public.

The lecture is sponsored by the Mark A. Rockwell Memorial Fund.
