University of Iowa Department of Mathematics student Biao Ma was named a 2021 CLAS Dissertation Writing Fellow, a very competitive award. Biao was one of only twelve awardees this year across all departments in the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The program provides ten students each year with the precious gift of time to complete this Ph.D. dissertation, which improves degree completion rates and reduces the time to graduation.
